Bertelsmann Volkslexikon
Long ago, in a land far away - no, just kidding. But decades before Google we had this amazing book at home which had the answer to everything.

591 cable ties and counting
Making a bowl from ring pulls, secured with cable ties. I saw it on the internet and I have to have one :-) Waiting for more ring pulls to finish the job.

My piece of the puzzle
No. 53 of 81.
We were each given a piece to decorate, illustrate etc. They're going to put all the pieces together to create an image. Can't wait to see what happens.

Sew what?
Did a lot of sewing the past weekend. Made a bag for T. - the cerise, orange, purple one. A bag for K. - the blue, orange stripe material. The cushion is a Christmas gift (or to keep, haven't decided yet). Pumlazee is the animal cushion for C. - his boy is due in 2 weeks. P. asked me to make her a voodoo doll and promised not to use it for evil - hmmm, hope and pray ;-)

Twinkle, twinkle
Went outside at about midnight and saw my favourite constellation.
When S, my border collie, was still alive, we would lie on the lawn at night, side-by-side, and look up at it and marvel at these magical lights.
Go out tonight and look for it - it's at this angle in the NE.

Flavoured memories
This morning I ate some white (although they are green) grapes. The flavour of one in particular made me remember grapes I ate for breakfast at a hotel along the Garden Route when I was 10 or 11. It made me remember other snapshots of the holiday - like the Garden of Eden, which I thought was magical. But when I revisited during my 40s I couldn't enjoy its beauty over the noise of the highway in background, running right on its rim.
