Almost everything I bought in Istanbul was blue. My favourite colour.

Turkish jewels
I forgot to share this with you - I bought these pieces in Istanbul. Such a lovely reminder of the wonderful time I had.
This and that
one - I love reading. two - Trish embroidered my jeans for summer, can't wait. Need to get the right sandals and colour nail polish. three - My birthday present, all the way from England. four - I have to take this picture every time I go. Love the light, shadow and patterns. five - I am crocheting up a storm. Love it. six - Asked someone for their heirlooms because I know I can make something fantastic with it. seven - My first attempt at embroidery. It's fun.

Hapi-nes-ek-is
Hapi-nes-ek-is means happy just the way I am.
I made this PrettyUgly for a colleague who is leaving for Cape Town. And while my sewing machine was out I make up the little girl as well. She had no name yet, and no home. Sigh!

While I was away
I took a little break from work and just got stuff done. And had some fun.
one - visit to a nursery | two - street art (and craft) | three - Nataniel, now available as a doll, but not a puppet | four - collection of old things, antique store | five - revisited Green Grass | six - regret and forgiveness - picked up someone else's letter while out for a walk | seven - beautiful plate, words from one of Nataniel's songs. About Mother Earth and her sadness | eight - starting the day with a healthy breakfast | nine - my own little vegetable garden | ten - a large nest in the garden | eleven - a magical night | twelve - a tree dies so they can have a view | thirteen - decorations at Paper Cafe | fourteen - walk in the park at sunset.

A naked wall
This wall has been naked for 19 years. At last I did something about it. May it grow vigorously and bloom all year. Pretty.

Casablanca
Casablanca was screened by air Cinema Club in Braamfontein on Saturday night. Champagne, popcorn and hot dogs. Look for Mr and Mrs Casablanca. Hmm, wonder what their story is?
