Repurposed, an old tray

I took an old tray of my mother's painted and stencilled it, to match the table I did earlier this month.
Not quite the twin set, though.

Jazz up an old table

This is an old pine table that I had painted blue but it was pretty bland and sad, so I added another layer of colour and a stencil. Sanded it down so it would look like it has been this way forever.

Swim at own risk

There was never a place to hang your towel at the pool area so we put up the hooks for the towels for our guests that are coming to stay over Christmas period. We added the  subtle warning, swim at own risk, to create the holiday resort vibe ;-)

Stencil onto wood

Last year I made up one of these, the design was slightly different, and it was white on wood.
This one is gold, translucent, onto wood. It looks at lot softer than the white. I wish I had rather made it up in white. Too late, she cried. I'm not cutting it all out again ;-)

Okay, it's no big deal really, you just stick your design onto the wood with spray glue, cut along the design then pull off the area you want in colour. Spray lightly and voila! I coat it with a layer of varnish.

Stencilling onto a pallet

The design and the application. The stencil uses a section of our bathroom floor stencil design since these elements will be in close proximity to one another.
I wanted it to look like an old piece of stencilling that was discovered, discarded in the back of the garage. Watch out next week to see what happens to the pallet, and how we turn it into a side board or something similar.

Personalised gift bags

At work we are making up gift bags for Christmas for the kids at the Children's Home. We bought some cheap paper bags so we would have more money for presents. We then each took a few and decorated them. These are my decorated bags.

Stencil

I cut this stencil last night and applied it to the box this morning.
The box has an interesting story – many year ago a handy man came to do some work at the agency where I was working. I fell in love with the box he had his tools in, so I found a plastic bag, transferred his tools, gave him ZAR30, and the box was mine!
