Wedding anniversary

6 April would have been my parent's 55th wedding anniversary. Sadly, they are no longer with us. I have the bead work that was on my mother's veil. And the jacket from my father's suit he wore.
Years later my mother separated the bodice from the skirt of her wedding dress, dyed it red after removing the sleeves. She dyed the skirt black, took up the hem, and sewed them back together again. Then went to a fancy dress party - Fasching - as a flamenco dancer.

In anticipation of winter, I have made myself 3 scarves. They are not the wrap-around variety, but the pull-over-your-head kind.

When I watch him as he sleeps my heart overflows with love.
