The simple things matter - a lunch under a tree on a summers day with family. Bliss.

50 and 60
My one brother turned 60, and the other will be 50 in a number of days. Happy birthday to you two, love you both madly.
We celebrated with a family gathering in the southern Cape. What an awesome week.
We rented a house right on the beach. Good weather and bad weather, all in the same day. Long walks on the beach, country roads and mountain passes.
We came across a beached whale on morning, which was sad to see. He was already dead when he washed out.
Dolphin sightings almost ever day.
A very special time.

Sunday lunch at home
Sunday lunch at home with my brother's family. Delicious! And they used the Calvin and Hobbes placemats I made them about 15 years ago ;-)

Fun in the sun, yippee, yay!
My nieces entertained themselves and had fun all day. We all wish we had their energy. We are blessed to have such wonderful girls in our life.

Email from my brother
It was not a dark and stormy night
but a clear, bright and cold night
My youngest daughter decided to stay up all night
My oldest daughter screamed all night till dad got up
My wife decided to throw up
I nearly gave up
Now the sun is shining
My daughters are smiling
My wife is driving
And I am at work writing this little story.
