Wonderful rain

We had so such rain in early summer it was fantastic and turned everything into paradise, or perhaps a jungle. As you can see my garden loved it.

Sunday sunrise in Fourways

Mike and I went out early on another one of our photoshoots. It’s wonderful because you’re home again by eight o’clock and still have the whole Sunday ahead of you. We didn’t go far, just wanted to capture the cranes at the Fourways development against the sunrise. It had rained the night before and the clouds were still heavy with rain in the west. Mike shoots time-lapse, daybreak to day. I am just mucking about taking some photographs of my own. The first part seems so slow, a little pink on the horizon, then the clouds painted orange and purple. When you blink again the sun has sneaked up into the sky behind the clouds and it’s time for breakfast. Mmm, good food at Carmella’s.

Summer rain

We went from drought and water restrictions to so much rain. It's wonderful for the garden. In some places I can't even see my house anymore, from the corners of the garden. It's a jungle out there! Beware, haha!

Early morning, in the garden

1. Piggyback. 2. He loves me, he loves me not. 3. A banana leaf unfolds in the rain.
4. Here come B----J---. 5. Borage. 6. More rain, yay.
7. Miss M waits for me to catchup. 8. New rose. 9. Rain, again.

So much rain

There has been so much rain since October. The garden is loving it but my ground cover is now the same height as my lavender bush. Can you still see it?

A hop, skip and a jump

A hop, skip and a jump from September to November, it's almost as though October never was. So here is just a short recap for October. If there are any typos in the text please forgive me. No need to highlight them and send me a message, like all good mistakes, I cannot go back and undo them.

Rain above, sunset behind

Yesterday on my way home it was raining but the setting sun reflected golden onto the wet road behind me, very pretty.

Where is the sun?

They have stolen the sun, the moon and the stars. They have hidden their crime behind a sky filled with cloud and rain.
Please bring back our African sun.
Miss the sunshine.

This and that continued

Metalwork - love the colours. Fairylights - magical evenings in the garden. Breakfast - Bacon, leek, cheese quiche. Rain and shine - it rained with the sun out, followed by thunder and clouds. Yarn bomb - my dogs yarn bombing my garden. Prank - they filled Chris' office with balloons for his birthday. Happy birthday Chris ;-) Winter warmers - made 3 pairs of fingerless gloves. It's been cold!

Flash!

Wow, there was a wild storm here last night. Rain as rivers down the road. Lightning flash and thunder that made one shudder.

2 days of grey

It rained all weekend, all day and all night. DVDs, tea, duvet, roasts, toast and honey, puddings, gin and tonic, coffee with cream, chocolates. It was so relaxing.
