Yellow, red and orange

When I went back to the Constitutional Court I was happy to see that they still had the same chairs. I don't know if the previous pic isn't better (it's on my facebook page), but I couldn't resist trying to get the same shot again.

I won't give up

Every winter this bougainvillea dies, and every summer it's there again, fighting for it's place in the sun.

Lunch today, yum!

I made lunch today for the breakfast club. Roasted butternut wheel, with a hamburger patty and mushroom sauce (I used yoghurt, not cream), beans and cherry tomatoes on the side.

Phyllo

I made this paper maché bowl and all the time I was thinking of phyllo pastry – thin paper layers.
Used tissue paper on the inside and outside and sprinkled some stars across it.

Green garden

With the early rains in September my garden is already so green and lush. Lovely!

Goodbye, sweet prince

I'll miss you, love you lots.
I thought about whether or not to place this post, but sharing is not only about sharing the good things.

Free flight

Well, while I'm dwelling on the past – when I was working at SAA you were allowed a free trip once a year, it had to be local, and you weren't allowed to cross the same airport twice. It was such fun! In Cape Town I stayed with a friend's friend, in Durban I met up with someone who had worked with us in Windhoek. In Harare I waited for a friend, Frank, and we flew together to Victoria Falls, where we spent a few days. Then I flew to Johannesburg to see my parents. And back to Windhoek. I was 17 and had to get my parent's permission to leave the country.
