Saw this stitch on the internet and did a block as reference for a blanket I'll make later in the year.

Pink hand bag

I'm slowly finishing off all the projects I started last year to make room for some new ones. I crocheted this bag last year. Added the lining and handles this week. Wearing it to work tomorrow.

Wool + idea = bag

Yarn Bomb

They yarn bombed the steps of the Voortrekker monument. 600 odd blankets from I don't know how many squares. I made a small contribution of some squares but was not able to spot them in this display ;-)

Wall hanging or scarf?

I start crocheting the little section marked in yellow. THEN, I added just a little bit to it, then another little bit and before you know it....
So, wallhanging or scarf, you decide, or trash haha!

Not a perfect circle

I had crocheted these circles for a project but then decided not to go ahead with it. So now what to do with them? I made up a necklace for a friend.

Pot holder

I tore material into strips and crocheted a potholder. It's lined with felt.

Using the ring pull off the cans you can make the loveliest flowers.

Yarn Bomb 2014

My effort is but a drop in the ocean, but ever square makes a difference. I made 24 squares and posted them off this morning. I started making the squares with the heart because I didn't know how to make the square where you crochet round and round. I really wanted to try one so I found a visible on the internet and copied it. They are not perfect but I'm getting better at it ;-)
The Yarn bomb 2014 is a project where they want to yarn bomb the steps of the Voortrekker Monument next year during the Yarn Indaba. Afterwards the squares are given to charity for blankets.

I made these blankies for the girls. They have already seen the work in progress and have approved ;-)

This and that

one - I love reading. two - Trish embroidered my jeans for summer, can't wait. Need to get the right sandals and colour nail polish. three - My birthday present, all the way from England. four - I have to take this picture every time I go. Love the light, shadow and patterns. five - I am crocheting up a storm. Love it. six - Asked someone for their heirlooms because I know I can make something fantastic with it. seven - My first attempt at embroidery. It's fun.

Neck ornaments

I crocheted these necklaces, but will I have the courage to wear them? Hmm, I wonder ;-)
