Plates and misfits

After 4 months of pottery class, once a week, this seems all I have to show. The rest I was really disappointed with. I have to ask myself: am I just not passionate enough about it to get it right or am I just not good at this? It seems likely that I will not continue with this 'hobby'.

Inkwell project

Exciting news! My friend is selling her one-of-a-kind, hand-illustrated mugs, tea cups and ceramic things! Come through to Norwood Day Pop Up Market on the 15th Feb.

She asked me to do a set of cups and saucers but I don't think my stuff is quite up to her standards ;-) I'll be at the market buying back my own designs if no one else does. Please support her, look out for INKWELL at the market.

Hand-drawn plates

My mother gave me a dinner service when I moved into my first home 31 years ago. Of the dinner plates only 4 of the 6 have survived, but they have developed fine, hairline cracks so you can't really serve food on them anymore. I didn't want to throw or give them away for sentimental reasons, so when Nikki started decorating plates I thought: What a great idea! Thanks Nikki for the inspiration. I still have to bake them to seal in the ink.

Bright day out

I bought bright, mismatched plates, bowls, cups and boxes, sewed a blanket and made up a picnic 'basket' for my nieces.
