50 and 60 continued

So I created a theme piece to celebrate my brothers' birthdays. It was printed on the cake and I make hand-held 'waaiers' that we had at the lunch table. Although we didn't get to use them, it was so cold, and they lit a fire instead.

Georg Restaurant and Tea Garden

I met Georg a few months ago to discuss doing a logo design for his restaurant in Aberdeen. I did one logo option that was off brief and that is the one he chose. He has been a wonderful client. I have enjoyed the opportunity of working on this project.

Georg Restaurant and Tea Garden, opening 1 December 2017. 2 Murray Street, Aberdeen. Pop in if you're in the area.

Wrapping paper design

I took a picture of the flame tree, to be honest I don't know what it is called, just that it is pretty.
I played around in Photoshop and created wrapping paper.
The top section is the original image and then below on the pink is the wrapping paper.

Stencilling onto a pallet

The design and the application. The stencil uses a section of our bathroom floor stencil design since these elements will be in close proximity to one another.
I wanted it to look like an old piece of stencilling that was discovered, discarded in the back of the garage. Watch out next week to see what happens to the pallet, and how we turn it into a side board or something similar.

Hand-drawn plates

My mother gave me a dinner service when I moved into my first home 31 years ago. Of the dinner plates only 4 of the 6 have survived, but they have developed fine, hairline cracks so you can't really serve food on them anymore. I didn't want to throw or give them away for sentimental reasons, so when Nikki started decorating plates I thought: What a great idea! Thanks Nikki for the inspiration. I still have to bake them to seal in the ink.

Decorative panel

I have had a piece of wood for 2 years now and decided, at last, to do something with it. Created this panel for my therapy room. 600mm x 600mm.

On the floor

Created this tile pattern from a patch I saw in a magazine.
Would love to have it made up for my bathroom.

A = 3

A is turning 3 next week. Cute. Made invites for her 'school' friends.

Blowing bubbles

There was a competition to redesign a range of chewing gum wrappers. I didn't enter my designs because they didn't meet the brief. Ja, ja, I hear you.
So this is what I did. Brand names are omitted, so that's what the white space top left is for.
